"One never knows what is going to happen. It keeps you continuously in wonder. Don't call it uncertainty - call it wonder. Don't call it insecurity - call it freedom."

PS - Your name and email address will never be sold, rented, or given away. You have my word on it!

Many people ask me about my name; how to pronounce it and where it comes from

I was given my name in 1982, as a gift from my Spiritual Master, Osho. The language is Sanskrit. My full name is Divyam Kailash and it means, Divine Himalayan Mountain Peak. Mt. Kailash is the most sacred mountain in Tibet. It is revered by at least 4 religions and is thought to be "heaven on earth." There are many stories about Mt. Kailash, some myths, some true…all fascinating.

As I look back on my life, even though I may not have been conscious of the words, I see that there has been a driving force in me that has kept me "saying Yes to myself, no matter what."

It’s been a life of adventure…of taking risks and stepping into the unknown.

Not the adventure of climbing mountains or exploring deep jungles. There’s been no rock climbing or skydiving. The adventure has been an "inside job," and naturally has been reflected on the outside. There seemed to be no choice for me but to take the risk, so many times, of stepping into the unknown. Anything less would have felt like a death to me…the death of my Spirit…and I had to take the leap.

After several of these "leaps" I found myself a young, single woman with a daughter and son who were grown and ready to be on their own.

I had a thriving business, a beautiful home, a nice life. I remember one day when I looked at it all, raised my head and hands to the sky and shouted, "There’s got to be more than this!"….and I knew it wasn’t a swimming pool! I sold my home, closed my hairdressing business and began to experience trainings in a variety of body work, growth groups, workshops, Tai Chi, etc…

That's me, celebrating the day in the courtyard of our peaceful home in Tucson, Arizona.

By a series of "coincidences" (I think these things happen when we’re living true to ourselves and are willing to move into the unknown), I was led to my Spiritual Master, Osho. Reading his words for the first time opened a place in me that was like waking up to something that I had always known. The first time I saw him, my heart and soul were set free in his presence and his love. So much joy…beyond words. Falling in love with this remarkable man has been the pinnacle of my life and is an inspiration in all that I do.

I spent many years living with Osho and his beloveds, in the communities that were created around him, both in the United States and India. My life has been forever transformed.

Saying "Yes" to myself and the unknown that life has offered, has given me the opportunity to live a life I never could have imagined.

Living in a community with several thousand people from around the globe, has given me an understanding and acceptance of the differences in cultures and the sameness of our Being.

This is Kaveen and me, happy to be sharing this life together.

Did every step turn out the way I thought it would?

No! Have I always gained something? Absolutely! The one thing that has been consistent is gaining a deeper awareness and trust…and for me that’s worth everything. It’s not the result of taking the risk that matters, it’s being true to yourself and the trust in what that brings.

My experience has been that following my heart and the trust that goes hand in hand, has given me a life full of treasures.

Things that make me hum…

My love and connection with Osho and all that encompasses… which is everything! Walking hand in hand with my beloved Kaveen…time with my family…listening to Deva Premal and Miten sing, especially in person…intimate friends…beauty in all forms…space…silence…hot and spicey Indian chai!
